Ефим Аркадьевич Гуманов родом из Сталинграда, родился 7 октября 1926 года.

     В октябре 1943 года, окончив школу, Е.А.Гуманов поступил в Московский авиационный институт. Но учиться не пришлось. На фронтах Великой Отечественной войны шли жестокие бои. В группе добровольцев Ефим Туманов 13 декабря 1943 года пошел в Красную армию, а было ему тогда только 17 лет. В начале его направили в школу связи, которую закончить не дали. С апреля 1944 года по апрель 1945 года - участие в боях на 2-м и 3-м Прибалтийских фронтах в составе войск Первой Ударной армии - 45-й отдельный отряд, полевая почта № 21654-Д. Он был тогда гвардии рядовым, командиром отделения. Участвовал в освобождении от немецко-фашистских оккупантов в Латвии городов Рига, Кемери, Елгава, Тукумс, Юрмала и других населенных пунктов. Заключительным этапом боев в начале 1945 года было окружение в Курляндии и пленение группы немецких войск «Север» - 16 и 18 армий Вермахта и взятие Кенигсберга.

     В боях Е.А.Гуманов был дважды контужен и врачебной комиссией признан негодным к военной службе.

В 2010 году Е.А.Гуманова избрали председателем Совета ветеранов Первой Ударной армии. Более 70-ти лет назад - 24 июня 1945 года он принимал участие в Первом параде Победы на Красной площади в Москве, которым командовал Маршал Рокоссовский, принимал парад Маршал Жуков. Это было незабываемое торжественное событие: советские солдаты бросали к мавзолею Ленина знамена плененных фашистских войск. И несмотря на то, что погода была дождливая, бойцы шли по скользкой брусчатке, настроение у всех было радостное.

     В 2015 году Ефим Аркадьевич Гуманов был приглашен на трибуну Красной площади в Москве в ознаменование 70-летия Победы в Великой Отечественной войне. Член Союза журналистов СССР, Москвы, России и Международной федерации журналистов, кинодраматург.

The most severe battle happened during the encirclement of the German formation "North" (the 16th and 18th armies) and the capture of Konigsberg. In this battle Gumanov was twice concussed and then his service was terminated on medical grounds.

     On June 24, 1945 he was honored to take part in the Moscow Victory Parade of 1945 held by the Red Army after the defeat of Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War. This, the longest and largest military parade ever held on Red Square, involved 40,000 Red Army soldiers and 1,850 military vehicles and other military hardware. It was an unforgettable solemn event: At the end soldiers carried the banners of Nazi Germany and threw them down next to the Lenin's mausoleum. One of the standards that was tossed down belonged to the 1st SS Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, Hitler's personal bodyguard. He has been awarded Order of the Patriotic War and Medal "For Courage" and Medal "For the Capture of Konigsberg ".

     On 9 May, 2015 Efim Gumanov was invited to the rostrum of Red Square in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. E. Gumanov is a member of the Union of Journalists of Moscow, Russia and the International Federation of Journalists, a screenwriter. In 2010 Gumanov was elected as chairman of the Veterans Council of the First Strike Army.
